What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

We have reCAPTCHA v3 implemented on this site. reCAPTCHA v3 is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. reCAPTCHA is only used to fight spam and abuse on our site and is not used for any other purposes.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact/Boarding forms, Contingency & Liability Contracts

If you fill out our contact form, the information and/or its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and follow-up emails, continue communication with previous and potential clients, and provide the best care for our clients. Any information shared with 3rd parties will be sole-purpose of providing necessary medical care &/or legal support. No one but Tini’s BnB has access to your information.

Calling/Texting Tini’s Bed & Barkfast

If you would like to receive text message communication, text START or JOIN to this phone number 206.222.2275 from Tini’s Bed & Barkfast, and you will be opt-in to text messages. Message and Data rates may apply. Users will receive messages as needed, typically once every few days during their pet’s stay. Texting is our main form of communication while your pet is in our care. We use it to send updates about your pets, ask pet-specific clarifying questions, and to schedule drop-off/pick-up times.

Tini’s BnB never sends campaign messages or shares/sells your contact information to 3rd parties; with one exception of providing emergency/medical care for your pets while in our care (i.e. sharing your phone number with a veterinarian or ER vet hospital who is currently providing care for your pet.)

You may at any time Opt-Out of text messages by texting “CANCEL” or “Stop”. Or text “HELP” for assistance.

Who we share your data with

Other than what is listed above… we do not share any of your data, period.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
